The AMSR is releasing a series of e-Books on the theme of Showcasing the Archive. Each publication will demonstrate the richness and variety of material available in the Archive of Market and Social Research.

Our first e-Book comprises 12 chapters contributed by eminent researchers, past and present practitioners who – using material in our archive – write about a wide variety of methods and techniques that have been created and developed over the last 70 years. The articles trace some of the important innovations and creative initiatives that formed the industry and enabled it to contribute to decision–making in so many spheres. As well as think pieces in qualitative research, we see the beginnings of approaches such as data fusion and geodemographics, development of techniques, and applications in every aspect of market and social research, including advertising, media, public opinion polling, governmental and commercial research.
